When Lauren and Dustin were planning their reception, they were faced with a challenge. Both sets of parents are divorced and remarried. Luckily for all involved in the wedding day, they are all great friends with one another. Instead of the tension that can occur in circumstances like these, the bride and groom were surrounded by twice as much love, support, admiration, and pride.
The challenge came in deciding whom the bride and groom would dance with first. So, instead of bride/father and groom/mother dances, they had one big parents’ dance. Lauren and the DJ cooked up a little surprise for the parents. When the music started, about a third of the guests laughed; when the words began, the rest of the guests were in on the joke. All 8 parents cut a rug to George Straight’s “All my exes live in Texas”…and half-way through the song even traded partners putting original husbands with wives!
