Kim & Lance Witt-Parr (click to see images online) said “I do” in front of the big screen at the historic Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas. Their unique movie-themed event was led by their good friends in the industry and was, by design, the funniest and most entertaining wedding I’ve ever witnessed.
After a marathon engagement (since 1993) little elements like the maids’ and bride’s entrance to “At Last” were special touches that got the guests–those present in both body and spirit–in the right mood for this one-of-a-kind event.

What a great wedding memory…their names on the marquis
“Congratulations! At Last
The Wedding Kim & Lance 07 07 07″

As part of the decor for this event, we created “movie” posters from the couple’s engagement images.

Can you imagine a prettier setting?

Lance got ready in the leading star’s dressing room.

The couple’s dear late friend, Walt, was present in spirit.

“At Last”

“IMPRESSIVE CLERGYMAN
(clears his throat, begins to speak)Mawidge…mawidge is what bwings
us togewer today…
Mawidge, the bwessed awwangement,
that dweam wiffim a dweam…”
Yes, the officiant began the ceremony by quoting the wedding scene from The Princess Bride.

With this ring?

these friends made an impressive wedding team

sweet!

Kim’s bridal images were also made into a movie poster for display at the reception.

The couple are not only film buffs, but also life-long frog collectors.

Some of the movie reels that served as cake stands were almost 100 years old!

Rice? Not at this wedding. Popcorn!

and no movie-themed wedding would be complete without a movie at the reception
Guests were entertained by Ian Fleming’s From Russia With Love.

The marquis was especially impressive later that evening.
On Sunday, Lance, Kim and
gathered at the State Capitol building and grounds for some formal photography.
