Luza-family Christmas
December 25th, 2007 · No Comments
Though we were not all present, and someone needed to take the shot, (and some family members were uncooperative), we still got a nice
shot of the Luza family on this beautiful Christmas day in Aggieland.

We certainly could not have asked for better weather.
Luzas, you can order prints of this image at cost.

Our newest great-niece, Caroline, was born Thanksgiving weekend. She made her big family debut today. She’s just a doll.

Congratulations, Sean & Audrey, and Alex.

What Size Print/Canvas?
December 21st, 2007 · No Comments
One of the challenges we face in the photography industry is educating our clients on the appropriate size print or canvas for their home. Cindi Penrod of Penrod Studios has put together a fabulous display of prints in various sizes in relation to a short sofa. (The one pictured is about the same size as a love seat.)
Most clients think an 8×10 is large enough for their needs. As you can see from this display, an 8×10 would not be viewable from even just a few feet away.
When you have gone to the trouble and expense to arrange a family portrait, it just makes sense to invest a little more for the larger portrait. Order an 8×10 for your desk at work. Order a 20×30 for the mantle.

A Romantic Getaway
December 15th, 2007 · No Comments
Danielle and Marty got married in the little town of Mt. Vernon, Texas, today. It was a beautiful ceremony, given by a skilled minister, decorated by a bride and mom team with an amazing attention to detail, and a posh reception with “Christmas Village” centerpieces and fabulously catered by the local dress shop! (Yes, really!)
Before the ceremony started, they already had us all in tears with a wonderful live version of “I Loved Her First”, which is sung from the point of view of the bride’s father. (And someone “ratted” me out. *wink* Upon seeing the bride for the first time at the reception she said, “I heard you were crying!” She took it as flattery, which is how it was meant. I truly feel the love that friends and family have for the couples I work with. And, I find it very moving.)
After the ceremony, I found that I had some of the most cooperative and helpful family members and wedding party I’ve ever worked with. I told the bridesmaids, candle lighter, groomsmen, ushers, train/ring bearers and flower girl that they should “rent out” as a wedding party for hire. Again, to all of you (and some proactive parents): thank you!
And, as a decidedly romantic start to their honeymoon: the limo that picked Danielle & Marty up from the reception took them to Danielle’s parents’ house to change and then from Mt. Vernon to Dallas to the honeymoon suite. I can’t imagine a more romantic getaway from the wedding and start to the honeymoon!
Danielle & Marty, it was wonderful working with your family and friends today. I wish you safe honeymoon, a happy holidays, and many years of wedded bliss.
because everything should be just…
