first “commercial”
April 25th, 2008 · No Comments
We’ve been meaning to design a commercial and put it on YouTube for a very long time. I finally made the time to lean iMovieHD for the Mac so I could do this. This is not a final product; I only had a few events handy to pull images from. Still, it’s a good first one!

Busy Two Weeks
April 22nd, 2008 · No Comments
As You Wish has a busy couple of weeks. This week, we have several commercial photography sessions with local businesses, a luncheon, some volunteer work, an engagement session, a consultation, and several other obligations. Saturday night, we are sponsoring and shooting a benefit concert for KEOS. whew, it’s going to be one wild rest-of-the-week!
Sunday is the beginning of Texas Photography School, which runs from ~8am to ~1am all week long. So, As You Wish will be closed for the week and I probably won’t be able to get to email.
So, if you need something, feel free to email me. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have recovered from these very, very busy two weeks!
…because everything should be just As You Wish

April 21st, 2008 · No Comments
As You Wish is a proud sponsor of this fine event. We love local/community/volunteer radio!
KEOS is holding a Benefit Fundraiser Concert Sat. April 26 at
StageCenter Community Theatre, 201 B W. 26th St. in downtown Bryan.
The concert begins at 5pm and will run until just past midnight.StageCenter is located in the former 3rd Floor Cantina, home to many
concerts in the past, so the acoustics of the building are ideal for
the music being planned.Singer-Songwriters Selia Qynn, Tom Tranchilla, Willie B and Saylor
White (with son, Kenyon) all from the Houston area will perform. Other
bands include the Neeley Lewis Band (a bluegrass group) and
rock band, The Guns of Detroit, both from the Bryan/College Station
area, as well as Sweet Mama Cotton (Houston) and Beth Isbell (Oklahoma
City). Beth is the front person for the psychedelic rock band, The
Dead Prophets hailing from Dallas, while Sweet Mama Cotton has played
at the Navasota Blues Festival in past years.A donation of $10 (ten dollars) will help KEOS to keep continuing to
provide quality programming for the diverse community they represent.
More information can be found at KEOS’ website, www.keos.org.
Come see us at the event. Pose for a photo. You may even end up on the KEOS website. You could be famous!

Austin Trip
April 17th, 2008 · No Comments
My husband, Emil, had a workshop to attend in Austin. I joined him at the end of the week so I could spend some time shooting in the pretty Hill Country. (We then spent the weekend with friends.)
I came back with hundreds of images, mostly of peacocks. What a fun trip!

New Albums!
April 7th, 2008 · No Comments
is proud to be a new client of a fabulous album company. These books are exquisite and are a perfect blend of the more casual story books and the beautiful leather-bound albums.
Pages
The pages are not boards. Instead, they are thick, finished high-quality photo paper. The paper is available in both a semi-gloss and a smooth satin finish. Unlike hardboard albums, these books can hold hundreds of pages. They are perfect for you photo “hounds”.
Special Pages
A beautiful option for the first page of the book is a frosted clear page that allows the next image to shine through. It makes a beautiful title page.
Binding
The pages are hinged for a flush-mount
that leaves only the tiniest of lines between facing pages. Double-page spreads are wonderful and continuous and almost feel panoramic.
Cover
The leather covers are top quality and come in a nice variety of colors. You’ll love the feel of this book in your hands.
Dust Jacket
My favorite part of the albums is the dust jacket. I’ve never seen anything like it! The paper is thick, heavy, and textured. It reminds me of an artist’s watercolor paper. Your cover images will printed on it with rich color. The finish on the paper gives the album a feel that the dust jacket really is protecting the book for many years to come.
Presentation Box
No quality album would be complete without a nice presentation box. The standard one that comes with the album is a perfect fit, which allows for sturdy and safe storage (and even shipping). There are also several options for different presentation boxes to suit your style and tastes.
We can’t wait to start ordering these gorgeous albums! So, let us design one for you!
Schedule a presentation, now. We only have the sample book for this week, where you can see both the paper options and the clear pages. After we have to send it back, we’ll only be able to show samples from what previous brides have selected.
Bridal Portrait Bouquet
April 6th, 2008 · No Comments
Consider this: ask your florist to do your portrait bouquet in silk. Then, it can be your toss bouquet at the wedding! It will save you just a little money and will give you “perfect” flowers for all your portraits, even if it’s windy or hot.
