Parents’ Dance

When Lauren and Dustin were planning their reception, they were faced with a challenge. Both sets of parents are divorced and remarried. Luckily for all involved in the wedding day, they are all great friends with one another. Instead of the tension that can occur in circumstances like these, the bride and groom were surrounded by twice as much love, support, admiration, and pride.

The challenge came in deciding whom the bride and groom would dance with first. So, instead of bride/father and groom/mother dances, they had one big parents’ dance. Lauren and the DJ cooked up a little surprise for the parents. When the music started, about a third of the guests laughed; when the words began, the rest of the guests were in on the joke. Fathers' Day special

We hear it all the time: "Men are so hard to shop for!" Make Dad feel like he's on top of the world with a framed family portrait. Dad will gush with pride when he sees the family all looking their best. Book a session or purchase a gift certificate by July 15th and get 20% off.

New Wishes (Services):

  • second shooter. Thanks to a lovely relationship with another local photographer, I am now offering a second shooter. This can double your images and have some special lighting on the formals (his area of expertise). Pricing depends on the event.

  • rehearsal/dinner photography. Rehearsals and their dinners have gotten more and more elaborate. If you'd like, I can come shoot your rehearsal and the dinner. I offer this at a huge discount for my wedding clients. $175 for up to four hours.

  • photo guest book. I can take your engagement or bridal images and turn them into a photo album to serve as your guest book. These are a neat way for guests to sign in and encourages them to write notes instead of just signing their names. A 20 page book with ~10 landscape-orientation or square-crop bridal images is $65.

  • jewelry. While I still have the exquisite Isabelle Chase jewelry, I also have added an affordable line from a local artist. I don't yet have a demo piece, but these are going to be a much more affordable option: Prices start at just $80 each. She can also do earrings and bracelets. This is a lovely way to show appreciation for moms and granmothers.
