Susan and Raymond have created a wonderful little retreat and spa on Royder Rd (on the right side just before you get to the turn for 7F) called The Nest.
was invited to The Nest’s Grand Opening, so I offered to shoot the event for her.

In celebration we share; in each other, we care.

The alpacas were wonderful to meet and to greet!

Even when “stuffed” they have coats all a fluff!

Their coat, when spun, makes dressing for winter fun!

Door prizes galore, from lots of local stores!

Susan is greeting; all about she is fleeting!

Handwriting analysis a popular “psychoanalysis”…

…and the food! oh my! Everything I must try!

Susan, a great hostess, didn’t forget! She gave favors to all of the guests

A firepit was built in memory of one…

…and our weatherman, Bob French, a few songs he had sung.

A spa blessing like none that you’ve ever seen…

…and the firepit dedication was a tear-jerking scene!

Of course, it’s not a party until something gets broken

New friends to love, and a bond that’s unspoken

It all come packaged in this place truly blessed

This woman and her hero? They offer The Nest!

Congratulations, Susan and Raymond. I can’t wait to come get a massage!

I just got my letter for this year’s Texas School. I got my first choice of classes: Bry Cox from Salt Lake City, Utah. I got to see a preview of him and his work last year and found his ideas truly fresh and innovative.
I can’t wait for school!

Brazos Valley Bride, a publication of Bryan Broadcasting, is the official magazine (and program) of the First Annual Fall “Bridal Show and Benefit” hosted by the Bridal Association of the Brazos Valley, which benefits the Brazos Food Bank. Special thanks to Heather Moutray for her energies and diligence in getting this magazine to print and Carl Orozco for putting up with all the wedding vendors and their ads.

Tonight’s RefreshBCS(.org) meeting at the Varisco building in historic downtown Bryan (and new home to the Creative Space) was a HUGE hit!
About 150 people attended to hear a speaker from Google.

huge turnout

Roby Fitzhenry (of 372Media) and Cody Marx Bailey co-hosted the event on behalf of RefreshBCS
SquareOne and 372Media(.com) provided an excellent meal.

Molly (of SquareOne) served everyone with a smile.
provided some gratis photography of the event. You can see all the photos in an online gallery.
Google has some amazing products for all types of consumers and all sizes of businesses. Their vision for how the Internet should be and how it should be intertwined with our own machines is amazing. I can’t wait to see what they come up with, next.

Google was kind enough to send a presenter!
Bonus was getting to see so many of our friends: Dennis, Jessica, Mike & Tom, Glen & Michael, Roby, Molly & Travis, Cody, Brad, several aquaintances, and make new ones, too! (Hi, Lauren!)
Kudos Refresh! What an amazing opportunity! What a great event!
