Pre-touched vs. Re-touched

September 24th, 2007 · No Comments

Pre-touched images. Since January 2006, all http://www.asyouwishbcs.com/asyouwish_images/asyouwish-281t-t.jpg images have been pre-touched before they are delivered to clients. We make any necessary cropping and editing for the 4×6 and 5×7 sizes.

Re-touched images. If a client wants further editing for an 8×10 or larger image, http://www.asyouwishbcs.com/asyouwish_images/asyouwish-281t-t.jpg will re-touch the image. Small changes are included with the cost of the print as long as requests are emailed before a print order is placed.. Larger changes are billed at a rate of $60 hourly.

A Love Made for the Big Screen!

July 9th, 2007 · No Comments

On July 7, 2007, the most popular date in wedding history, Kim & Lance tied the knot at the historic Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas. To celebrate the occasion with a modern take on the “bridal portrait” I have designed a “movie” poster to decorate the mezzanine while guests enjoy post-ceremony hors ‘d oeuvres and view the cake.

Here is the final image.

Mr. & Mrs. Lance & Kim Parr met as Freshmen at Texas A&M University when they both joined the Aggie Cinema organization (later known as Film Society) in the Memorial Student Center. They’ve been engaged since 1993!

Congratulations on finally tying the knot! Kudos for doing it in such a uniqe, fun, and classic way!

July 5th, 2007 · No Comments

On July 7, 2007 (the most popular date in wedding history, they tell us!), Kim & Lance will tie the knot at the historic Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas. I have designed one “movie” poster to decorate the lobby as guests are strolling in. (Another with a bridal portrait will be in the mezzanine during post-ceremony hors ‘d oeuvres.)

The couple met as Freshmen at Texas A&M University when they both joined the Aggie Cinema organization (later known as Film Society) in the Memorial Student Center.

Here is the final image.

Guest Book options

December 22nd, 2006 · No Comments

Guest books no longer have to be the traditional white book with a feathered pen. If you are excited about something unique, consider a guest photo book. There are several options.

  • Allow to use your engagement images to create photo pages where guests can sign next to the image of you and across the scenery in that image. This digital photo guest book option starts at just $ 65 for a leather book with an inset cover photo and 20 pages for lines.
(lines do not render well in thumbnail view; click for larger image.)

a vignette around the couple keeps them rich in color and bright on the page

a washed background image allows signatures to remain legible [Read more →]

Digital Ehancements

August 22nd, 2006 · No Comments

Before: This clients loved this tree and wanted a portrait made here. But, there were several things wrong with the location. The lighting was weak, there were several items in the background, and she had to pose strangely to maintain balance in the tree.

After: The result is a much better image. The focus is now on the couple and not the other items in the shot.

  • clouds added to the clear and bright sky
  • her face is brightened
  • his skin is smoothed
  • the tip of her shoe is removed from against the tree
  • background distractions are removed, muted, and/or blurred

Digital Scrapbook

July 24th, 2005 · No Comments

Digital “scrapbooks” or magazine-style layouts are not only popular, they also allow for multiple images on a page, yet keep a modern and sleek look.

These examples were sized to 8×10 so they would fit into virtually any album. With such grand flexibility, layouts like these can be crafted in any size and can range from elegant to funky.
